New Jersey Militia Ammo Pack. Used during the The Indian War periods, this sturdy and handsome leather pouch measures 71/4"x31/2"x13/4" deep. The leather is 1/4" thick. Pack opens to wood cartridge insert that holds eighteen cartridges. Manufacturer: McKenney & Co.- New York, 1872, and re-issued in 1878. Except for small surface cracks throughout the flap area, the general condition of this piece is very good +.
