Booth, Evangeline (1865-1950) English-born 4th General of the Salvation Army (1934-39); daughter of William Booth, who founded the Army in 1878. Three items signed by Booth: a sepia-toned, oval, 3/4 portrait, 9 x 7 in., in a period 12 x 10 in. frame; a 1925 Typed Letter Signed as Commander, to Lieut. Commissioner Gifford in San Francisco about his trip to the Hawaiian Islands; and a 2½ x 3½ in. card. All fine.
