A trio of original oil paintings by William Verdult. 1) "Road To Rome", 11 x 14, an iconic conception of perhaps the Appian Way, at sunset. In a handsome gilt wood frame, with an old price of $6910 stamped on reverse. 2) "Barn", 16 x 20, a portrayal of a lonely barn in winter done in harmonious shades of gray and green. Matted. 3) "Sun", 12 x16, a colorful tropical view of swaying palms at sunset, evocative of a Hawaiian scene. Matted.
All are signed in oil "WmVerdult" at lower right or left, the first also on the reverse of the canvas. A quick Google search of this artist indicates retail prices into the tens of thousands of dollars per painting. Possibly an opportunity for the astute art collector and worth a bit of additional research. Total of 3 paintings.
