Works On Paper - Daumier and Others. Daumier lithograph, No. 5 from the series, "Coquetterie," 1839 or 1840, in which an older man (whose wig comes off with his hat) attempts to pay court to a woman whose face can't be seen: "Eh bonjour, cher ange, toujours jolie!" 13 1/8" x 9¾", published by d'Aubert & Cie. With four etchings, colored (some hand tinted), : "Quakers Meeting" (1809), "Lambeth Palace" (1808), "Society of Agriculture" (1809), and an Orne print illustrating Watts' poem, "Sleep," (1808). Also, a handcolored print of the San Francisco residence of Henry Casebolt, 2700 Pierce St. between Vallejo and Green. All six pieces are matted to 16x20".
