Noah's Ark Among a Quintet of Antique Prints. Five old prints of various age and origin. 1) "A Representation of Noah's Ark Floating on the Waters", copperplate engraving, unsigned, ca. mid to late 18th century; 7 1/2 x 11 3/4, light overall browing from age and some foxing, otherwise good un-damaged condition. 2) "Pittsburgh In 1790", engraved by J.C. McRae; drawn by Capt. S. Eastman, etc. Steel plate engraving, ca. mid 19th cent., 6 x 8, excellent condition. 3) "W.J. Wilcox & Co. Lard Refinery New York". Hand colored steel engraving, 7 x 5, ca. 2nd half 19th cent., by "Atlantic Publishing & Engraving Co. N.Y. Horse drawn wagons & streetcars before the named bldg. Some dirt and age at the borders, else VG. 4-5) Pair of prints by Day & Son Lithographers To The Queen, London, 1864 on explorations of ancient sites; one titled "Tombs To The Westward Of Ptolemais", the other "Tombs In The Northern Necropolis Of Cyrene". Both tinted in sepia and gray-aqua shades; minor chipping and browning from age, the first with some foxing; the latter relatively clean with an attractive image of arabs camped among the ruins.
