Homer, Winslow. Eight Steel Engravings For Harper's Weekly. Made for the popular magazine between 1858 and 1874, they show Americans at school and at play, as well as a Chinese opium den in New York: "The Morning Bell"; "Winter--A Skating Scene"; "The Noon Recess"; "The Chinese In New York--Scene In A Baxter Street Club-House"; "Our Watering-Places--Horse-Racing at Saratoga"; "Spring In The City"; "August In The Country--The Sea-Shore"; and "Welcome To the Prince of Wales." Approximately 11x16"; each is matted to 16x20". Very good condition; expected toning and small marginal tears, not affecting images.
