Sole Survivor: Autobiography From the Battle of Midway. 1st Edition Autobiography of Ensign George H. Gay, U.S.N.R., the sole survivor of Torpedo Squadron Eight, Inscribed and Signed, "To Bill Peddic / Best of the good luck I had at Midway. Geo. Gay / Keep America strong," 1979 with original dust jacket, 320pp, hardback. Minor toning and wear. With a color illustration of Gay in the ocean during the battle, a 3¢ U.S. Navy stamp issued in 1945, a 20¢ stamp, and a 1984 postmark from Kekaha, Hawaii (near Midway Island).
