Truman, Harry S. & Bess -- Typed Letter Signed & First Day Cover. Typed letter signed "Harry S Truman," one page, on personal letterhead, 10¼ x 7¼", Independence, MO, Oct. 1, 1963. To Jacob Rapoport in New York City, sending an autographed picture (not present) and thanking him "for the check for the Library….It is being mailed to the Director of the Library Fund and you will receive a formal acknowledgment." Fine. Accompanied by a commemorative First Day Cover honoring Truman, signed "Bess W. Truman" at lower left and postmarked "Independence MO May 8 1973." Fine. Matted and framed to an overall size of 18 x 12¾". Cover has slipped within frame and needs to be repositioned. Estimate $200 - 300
