Dole, Sanford B (1884-1926) Honolulu-born son of white Protestant Christian missionaries. He held positions in all three branches of the Hawaiian government under the Monarchy, Provisional Government, Republic and Territory; including being first Governor of the Territory of Hawaii. Manuscript document signed by Sanford B. Dole as Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, 16 x 10½ in., 1903, 4 pp. in very fine pen with partially colored 2 page map and a cancelled $1.00 Hawaiian government duty stamp. Transaction with W. C. Achi [great, great grandson of Puou, one of the warriors of Kamahameha I] relative to land at Honomalino, South Kona, Island of Hawaii. References adjoining properties of J.M. Monsarrat. Fine.
