1806 C-1 R1 Small 6, Stemless Wreath PCGS graded AU50. Attractive glossy light chocolate brown and steel. The only notable contact marks are an old pinscratch in the field just left of the curls under the hair ribbon and a couple more well-hidden in the hair to the right. The remainder of the obverse is choice. The reverse is free of marks but there is a large, rather deep low spot or planchet delamination that affects the bows of the wreath ribbon and half of the fraction. Otherwise both sides are sharply struck. E-MDS with the reverse rotated 30 degrees clockwise. Our grade is EF45+ sharpness net EF40. The attribution, "Mint Error" status, and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $400 - UP
