Apollo Block I Space Suit Pressure Indicator Gauge. The David Clark Company was contracted during the beginning of the Apollo Program to provide the space suits for the "Block I" early missions without extra-vehicular activity capabilities as opposed to the suits being developed in Block II versions by a different resource. The pressure suit indicator offered was provided by the David Clark Company custom designed by Dyna Magnetic Devices, Inc. and was located on the left lower arm of the suit for easy verification of the suit pressure. After the disastrous Apollo 1 Command Module fire, monumental changes were made to the whole Apollo program including suit design. Gauge comes with a fact sheet with a photo of Grissom, White and Chaffee wearing these original Clark Company suits, the gauges on their left arms clearly visible. Estimate Value $500 - UP

Realized $1,063
