1846 N-20 R3+ Small Date PCGS graded MS62 Brown, CAC Approved. Very attractive frosty light to medium brown. Sharply struck and nearly flawless with mint state eye appeal in spite of a hint of rub on the very highest points of the portrait. The only marks are a trio of microscopic ticks on the chin and a tiny planchet void between stars 3 & 4 (as struck). MDS, die state b early, with faint die lines from the dentils under star 13. Our grade is AU58, CC#8 in the Grellman census. Previously removed from an NGC slab graded MS64BN (NGC label included). The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 4 finer: 2 in 63, 2 in 64. Estimated Value $450 - UP
