1794 C-2a R2+. VF-20. Small Edge Letters. Attractive glossy medium chocolate and steel brown with reddish chocolate toning covering the neck and lighter brown toning in protected areas of the reverse. No marks or other defects. Solidly choice except for the reddish stain on the neck, but still quite attractive for the grade. Rare EDS, Manley state 1.0, with no die clashmarks and the reverse rotated 20 degrees CW. The obverse is perfectly centered on the planchet while the reverse is off very slightly to K-3. Weight 105.9 grains.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,000.
Obtained in a trade with another collector at a small coin show in Oklahoma in the Fall of 1982.
