(1935-6) Alaska RRC 10c Bingle PCGS MS63. PCGS graded MS-63. Aluminum. Listed in the Red Book.
Rural Rehabilitation Corp. Issued by the U.S. goverment in 1935 for use by those Americans relocated to Alaska as part of the Matanuska Valley Colonization Project as federal aid. They were called "Bingles" and were redemable only at the ARRC stores. They were in use for only about 6 months (1935-6) after which they were redeemed for regular US coinage. The minor denominations, such as this 10-cent piece, were struck in aluminum while the larger denomination $5 and $10 were struck in brass. Estimated Value $150 - 175
