Apollo 17, 1972. "Too Beautiful to Have Happened By Accident," Limited Edition Multicolor Lithograph Signed by Alan Bean. No. 110/600, 35 x 26". Published by Long & Company, Houston, 1984. Signed in pencil by Alan Bean at lower right. This lithograph is almost never available today (the edition sold out in 1995). Printed in the lower border is a quote from Bean. In part, "Apollo 17 astronaut Eugene Cernan said, 'When I stood on the moon and looked up at the earth, I felt it was just too beautiful to have happened by accident….'" Fine. Matted and framed to an overall size of 38¼ x 29¼. A couple of scuffs to frame, else fine. Estimate Value $600 - UP
