Lot 82

1804 C-12 R2 Crosslet 4 with Stemless Wreath PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Frosty tan and light brown delicately mottled with darker steel brown and olive tones. Satiny mint luster covers this piece in spite of a thin layer of natural oxidation. No notable defects. The best identifying mark is a small nick-like planchet flake over the left corner of the eye. LDS. The die clashmarks on the obverse are clear and the details in the lower curls are weakening due to die rust. The narrow rim cud right of the denominator is dull but visible. Our grade is MS62+ close to MS63. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 5; 3 finer, 1 in 64+, 1 in 65, 1 in 65+ for the variety. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
