Eye-Catching Republic Thunderchief F-105. This is an M.M .Verkuyl metal model of the Republic Thunderchief F-105 from the late 1950s or early 1960s. It is all aluminum, 1/50th scale. Matthys M. Verkuyl was a Dutch modeler in Badhoevedarp Holland, The Hague. He was contracted through Air-Parts International who supplied Republic with these models. The F-105 is in beautiful shape. There is a very minor dent on the back tip of the left horizontal. All the decals are intact and display very nicely. The model can be rotated and repositioned along its axis on the stand. Even the stand is made of aluminum.
The wing span is 9 inches, length is 15.5 inches. Estimated Value $500 - UP
