1846 N-10 R5- Small Date NGC graded MS63 Brown. Glossy olive and steel brown. Mint frost covers the protected areas and much of the fields, and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. No spots or stains, just a few small contact marks including two nicks on the cheek. Nicely struck except for weakness on star 5. E-MDS, die state a. The fine die lines of the early state are clear but faint radial die flowlines are starting to show from the dentils on the obverse. Our grade is AU50+, tied for CC#8 in the Grellman census. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label. NGC population 2, none finer. Estimated Value $1,000 - UP
