1.) Four (4) wonderful boldly signed prints by Willem de Kooning, one measuring 12 x 8½" of "Pastorale" and the other three measuring 10 x 8½" which include a close-up detail from Woman I, and two that are untitled. All four very suitable for framing. 2.) Two pieces signed by Roy Lichtenstein, one a 12 x 8½" portrait photo of him signed boldly in blue marker at bottom of white border. The other is a centerfold lift from a book of his paintings between 1970-1980. The work is entitled "The Dance" with image measuring 12 x 15½" and signed in red on left side of white border. Also included is a brochure from the landmark retrospective in 1993-94 at the Guggenheim Museum. 3.) A Cronyn & Lowndes Galleries exhibition brochure from 1934 inscribed and signed by acclaimed watercolorist George Pearse Ennis with a tipped image of one of his paintings 9 x 7". Includes other materials from the 30s regarding the artist. 4.) Andy Warhol's signature is on a check he did not cash. 5.) Marc Chagall has signed a 1973 Israeli First Day Issue commemorative cover, across two large stamps boasting different images of his Chagall Windows. (Note"Chagall" on lower left of envelope is pre-printed) 6.) Wilfred S. Conrow, the celebrated portrait artist from Hickory, NC and founder of the Hickory Museum of Art has made notations and signed a very large brown envelope dated Dec. 1933 with his superb signature quite large, almost 5" in length. 7.) The Joan Miró pieces are a bit unusual. In his hand he has dated his letter head head quite boldly. Also the envelope to addressee is written in his hand. But Miró returned a check dated 7/7/79 effectively canceling it by scribbling a design in red and blue colored pencils. Is it a cat, a dog, under a blue moon, who's to say, but it is an original Miró! Estimated Value $800 - UP
