1833 N-5 R1 Repunched 8. PCGS graded MS-65 Red & Brown. CAC Approved. Lustrous mint red fading to light steel brown with 25% of the mint color remaining, mostly on the reverse. Satiny and quite attractive with only trivial marks. These include a tiny planchet chip on the coronet over the B in LIBERTY and some tiny specks of darker bluish steel and olive brown toning scattered over the reverse. LDS. Remnants of the stray 8 punched into the dentils under the normal 8 is gone but the repunching on the upper half of the 8 is clear. The reverse is rotated 40 degrees CW. Called MS65 by Del Bland. Our grade is MS64+, close to MS65. The attribution and Ralls provenance are shown on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; none finer for the variety. (PCGS # 37031) .
