Unusual File of Over 80 Astronauts Responding To NASA's Public Services Branch to Update "ASTRONAUT FACT BOOK" Late 80s-Early 90s. NASA's Public Services Branch in Houston would send out to astronauts to request updates on their post NASA careers for the ASTRONAUT FACT BOOK. This is a file of those updates from 1989-1993, addressed to either of two women in the branch. Many updated their employment, whether they had written biographies, histories or novels. Most have signed and written corrections others have only initialed next to information indicating no change. Almost all request a copy of the updated book. There are simply too many to list but include Deke Slayton, Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, Alan Bean, Stuart Roosa, James Lovell, Jack Lousma, Wally Schirra, Vance Brand, Mary Cleave, Robert Crippen, Dick Gordon, Bill Pogue, Russell Schweickart, Frank Borman and Fred Haise. Obviously this represents the men and women from a wide diversity of flights from Mercury to The Shuttle. Some very interesting reading and certainly a unique collection. Fine condition, file exceptionally well archived. Estimate Value $900 - UP
