Wright, Lorin -- Check Signed by the Wright Brother Who Helped Manage Their Business. (1862-1939) Bank check, dated February 3, 1912, signed "Wright Brothers" in Lorin's hand, filled out to himself for $18.70, and endorsed by him on the verso. The bank check is drawn on The Winters National Bank & Trust Co., of Dayton, Ohio. Cancellation perforation affects the "r" and "o" of "Brothers" in the signature; normal bank stamps on verso. Lorin helped manage Wilber and Orville's financial affairs when they were away from Dayton. Wilbur and Orville had five siblings: Reuchlin (1861 - 1920), Lorin (1862 - 1939), Katharine (1874 - 1929) and twins, Ida and Otis, who died soon after birth in 1870. This check was written less than four months before Wilbur's death from typhoid fever on May 30, 1912. Fine condition. With JSA COA. Estimate Value $200 - UP
