Lot 75

1787 Connecticut Miller 33.34-Z.11 Rarity-5 PCGS graded XF40. Draped Bust Left type. Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Very nice for the grade, nearly flawless. The only defect is a small planchet chip at the rim above the C in AUCTORI, as struck. Nicely struck and perfectly centered on the obverse. The reverse is slightly off center to the bottom leaving the date tight to the edge but easily readable. A condition census example of this tough variety, clearly better than the Perkins example that was called tied for CC#4 (Stack's 1/12/2000:418 that brought $977.50). Comes with a certification signed by Walter Breen. Listed on page 62 in the "Redbook."
Estimated Value $350-UP.
The Arden Collection.

Realized $1,035
