1882 $100 National Bank Note. NB of Commerce in, New York, NY. Ch. 733. Fr. 520. PMG Very Fine 25. While most consider this a common bank, this denomination and note are the exact opposite. This is the ONLY $100 Brown Back known from this long serving institution. A great mid-grade note with stamped signatures that was last seen in a 2007 auction, and likely to not be seen again for quite few years once it takes its place in a new collection this evening.
