Order of the Red Banner of Labor of Armenia. Award # 37. 1926. Silver, red enamels. Screwback. Type 2, variation 2. Massive multi-piece construction. No mintmark or any hallmarks on reverse. Serial number is hand-engraved at 6 o’clock on reverse. Comes with apparently original silver screwback nut. According to N.Strekalov’s book "Awards of Soviet Republics", p.535, this order was awarded to Chatinyan Smbat Grigor’evich, Arm.SSR workers-peasants militia employee, on Nov. 28, 1931. C/C 05.03.02 (R5), Herf. 1.10. Kuts pp. 149-162. Only about 60 issued. Excessively rare. Condition: Minimal enamel losses, absolutely excellent for type. Value $125,000 - UP
