Lot 662

1805 S-268 R3. PCGS graded VF-30. Slightly glossy dark steel and olive brown with underlying frost in the fields and protected areas, especially on the reverse. The surfaces look nice to the unaided eye but a glass reveals uniform extremely faint granularity. No verdigris, and the only marks are two small nicks under the right foot of the A in STATES. A decent example of a variety that is difficult to find in high grade. Our grade is VF25 sharpness net VF20. (PCGS # 1510) .
Estimated Value $500-UP.
