Lot 661

1887-O Morgan Dollar. 7 over 6. PCGS graded MS-64. A gorgeous yellow green toned obverse here, and more golden on the reverse over luster. Rare in all mint state grades, and this is tied for the finest graded by PCGS, in fact, only 44 have been graded this high, and naturally, none are graded higher! The strike is pretty typical for this date, slightly weak at the centers on the hair over Liberty's ear and on the eagle's breast, but sharp elsewhere. After careful examination of the surfaces, we feel this coin is very high end for the grade, as only faint signs of contact can be found. The overdate feature is seen as a thin line extending off to the right from the 7 in the date.
Estimated Value $5,000-UP.

Realized $6,210
