Lot 66

1835 N-8 R1 Head of 1836 PCGS Genuine Unc Details Questionable Color. Lustrous light to medium steel brown with a few tiny peeps of very faded mint color on both sides. The color looks original to us, but there are a half dozen spots of dark toning scattered over the obverse and a few more on the upper part of the reverse. A couple of these spots contain traces of carbon. Otherwise this cent is nice with only trivial ticks of no consequence. MDS. A die crack passes up through the 1 in the date through the portrait and hair bun to star 8 where it fades out. Our grade is MS60 sharpness net AU55. Estimate Value $300 - UP

Realized $432
