Ziegfeld, Florenz (1867-1932) Founder of the Ziegfeld Follies. Typed Letter Signed "Flo" on red-bordered Ziegfeld Follies stationery, 2pp, 10½x8', New York, 16 Aug. 1926. Fine; minor marks at top. To Jesse Laskey, Famous Players, Hollywood, marked "Personal and Confidential." Ziegfeld expresses his disappointment in a picture Von Stroheim was making; although "a great director" who is "always good when he puts on a uniform," Von Stroheim's picture was "very German" (written in Ziegfeld's hand), too slow, etc. Ziegfeld wants Clara Bow for the picture. Excellent content concerning the future of musical entertainment in moving picture houses.
Estimated Value $300 - 500.
