June Clare Wayne. "THE DREAMERS" (1951). (1918-2011) A true Renaissance woman of the arts, June Wayne forged a path in not only her own art but setting far higher standards for lithography in America. In the 1940s to 1970s she proved a galvanizing abstractionist in a variety of media including painting, lithography, tapestry and industrial design. Her honors, awards, prizes, exhibitions and collections are numerous. June Wayne's work may be found in many museums around the world, including the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; Library of Congress and National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.; Museum of Modern Art, New York City; Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane and Bibliotheque Royale de Belgique, Brussels.

Offered is a mid-century masterpiece entitled "THE DREAMERS" a remarkable if not all together stunning abstraction of a couple embracing. Oil on canvas measuring 21 x 63".
