1877 Shield Nickel. PCGS graded Proof 63. Toned with hazy nickel shades and scarce, with a mintage of 510 or so (Mint records may not be perfect on this date). We note a long, hidden scrape across the top right third of the coin, mostly present in the horizontal shield lines.
