Lot 573

1802 S-232 R1 VF35. Ten points sharper but there are extremely faint hairlines on both sides, all blended into the attractive glossy medium chocolate brown and light olive toning. No verdigris or other marks; essentially choice if not for the faint hairlines. Nicely struck E-MDS, Breen state II late. There are tiny but clearly defined rim cud breaks in the dentils under the 18 and 0 plus die clashmarks on both sides. An attractive cent.
Estimated Value $800-UP.
Ex Chris McCawley.
