Byzantine Bronze Reliquary Cross Pendant. Byzantine bronze reliquary with top loop for hanging. Rendered in relief, this Greek cross depicts on one side the central bust of Christ "Pantokrator," Bible in hand, with busts of four saints in medallions around him, and on the other side, the modestly draped central bust of Mary with a similar configuration of saints surrounding her. Beautiful hard olive green patina. Circa 12th-14th century C.E. Length: 115 mm. $2,500 - 3,000
