Lot 562
1801 S-216 R1 Off Center NGC graded G4. Slightly glossy chocolate and olive brown. Fine roughness covers the fields and protected areas on both sides but there is no verdigris. A collection of shallow pits under the 18 can help identify this cent. Looks like a relatively early die state for the variety. Struck 20% off center to K-1.5. The date and legends that are on the planchet are all readable. Our grade is G5+ sharpness net G4. The "Mint Error" status, "Struck 20% Off Center " feature, attribution, and Mervis provenance are all included on the NGC label.
