1855 C-1 R1. NGC graded MS-63 Red & Brown. Frosty steel brown and olive faded down from mint color with nearly a third of the planchet showing faded mint red. No spots or stains. The only notable defect is a collection of barely visible ticks in the field above the hair bun. E-MDS. All the devices and most of the dentils are sharply impressed but some of the dentils are weak, as nearly always on this variety. An attractive, lustrous piece. Our grade is MS62+, close to MS63.
