1798/7 S-152 R2 Overdate Large 8 over 7 NGC graded AU58. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. No corrosion or verdigris, but there is a very fine planchet lamination from the right side of the Y in LIBERTY down to the shoulder, clearest at the mouth. The only other notable mark is a small of darker toning on the lower serif of the E in STATES. MDS with a subtle wave in the field behind the portrait from the rim to the hair under the ribbon. The date and legends are clear and the overdate is obvious to the unaided eye. Our grade is VF20.
