1798 S-161 R2 Style I Hair, Small 8 VG8. Off Center. Attractive glossy chocolate and olive brown with lighter reddish brown toning in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and display only a few trivial marks, including a tiny rim bruise opposite the top of the neck. E-MDS, Breen state III, with a die crack from the D in UNITED to the dentils near the adjacent S. Struck 5% off center to K-4.5 leaving the 98, bust tip, and OF AME very tight to the edge of the planchet. A very attractive mint error.
