(1722) Rosa Americana Twopence. . Breen 88. AU-55. Type that is undated and shows the motto on a label. Very little if any wear but there is a patch of roughness running from the cheek through the hair at the temple to the G left of the top of the head. Otherwise the surfaces are excellent, virtually flawless. Sharply struck, and the reverse shows strong doubling from a chatter strike. Frosty dark choclolate and olive brown with some frosty lighter brown in protected areas. The rough area on the obverse displays reddish chocolate toning. Weight 229.7 grains.
