Garland, Judy (1922-1969) Actress; singer. Pastel of Judy Garland in tramp makeup, Inscribed and Signed, "My sincere thanks for taking the time to do this portrait of me - It's wonderfull. Love Judy Garland," 21½"x17", matted and framed to 30"x24". The portrait is signed by the artist, Barbara Paolini ("BP '55") who was a student at UCLA and a neighbor of Judy Garland, who was married to Sid Luft at the time. Miss Garland was delighted with the portrait and signed it for Barbara when she viisted the Lufts. A photo of Miss Garland singing "Over the Rainbow" on the Ford Star Jubilee (September 24, 1955), dressed as a tramp, is included. The portrait comes with a sworn statement from the person who obtained the portrait from Miss Paolini in 1999.
