Meissen Rectangular Tray with Three Vignettes, Blue Crossed Swords on Base. Unusual Meissen tray having three beautifully painted vignettes all relating to love. Cherubs with bows and a quiver of arrows, creating valentines, and courting white doves. The detail is exceptional, especially the center vignette. 10½ x 5¼ x 1" and in superior condition with no cracks, repairs or chips. We note only occasional rubs to the gold gilt on edge of tray and some in the round borders of the three vignettes. Displays beautifully. We could not find a similar piece to compare.
