Gable, Clark (1901-1960) American actor best remembered for his role as Rhett Butler in "Gone With the Wind." Photograph Signed and Inscribed, "To T.J. Thorsen / Best of luck / Clark Gable," 8"x10", n.p. (c.1942). Very good; light toning and age wear. Gable is seen getting a shave, as several men in uniform look on. In addition to Gable, five of the men signed the photo. In 1942, after his third wife, Carole Lombard, was killed in a plane crash while returning from a War Bond drive, the grief-stricken Gable joined the Army Air Corps.
