Outstanding Daum Nancy Dutch Harbor Opalescent Glass Bowl, Highly Collected and Important French Glassmaker ca. 1900. Founded in 1878 in Nancy, France by Jean Daum became one of the premiere art glassworks company in Europe. This fine large enamel painted scenic art glass vase depicts a peaceful Dutch winter landscape. The Dutch coastal landscape is replete with windmills, sail boats and a man walking alone on a path. The pillow form, textured finish bowl is in perfect condition. 5 x 6 x 5" glass salt cellar with lacustrine decoration and boats Signed on the reverseA large Daum Nancy bowl. Exterior shows Dutch harbor scene with sailboats, windmills, and small cottages. Piece is signed "Daum Nancy" with cross of Lorraine. Interior of bowl shows a few as made bubbles and a very small (likely removable) area of green paint is mentioned for completeness only. size: 8" wide, 3.25" tall Daum Nancy Opalescent glass salt cellar with lacustrine decoration and boats Signed on the reverse.
