Disney, Walt. Typed Letter Signed "Walt" on engraved "Walt Disney" letterhead, 1p, 10½"x7¼", n.p., 1937 Jan. 29. Very fine. To Howard Estabrook, screenwriter for many commercially successful Hollywood productions from the late 1920s to the late 1950s; he won an Academy Award for the script of Cimarron (1931). Disney regrets that Estabrook could not make the Junior Chamber of Commerce dinner, "but I can very well appreciate what it is to have a bunch of work to get out. Many thanks for your congratulations and good wishes -- they're deeply appreciated…." On December 21 of that same year, Disney would release Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first full-length, animated feature, still accounted one of the great feats of motion picture history.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.
