Two Russian Lacquer Boxes: One Exquisitely Hand Painted Scene from a Fairy Tale Made in Fedoskino, One Decoupage Box of a Ballet Dancer. Two lovely Russian lacquer boxes. The premier box in this collection is the hand painted scene from traditional folklore with extensive detail in the headdress, and traditional clothing, with gold gilt highlights throughout. The hand painted detail to the four corners are without equal as is the hand painted scroll work on the sides in both gold and silver gilt. 1½ x 5 x 4" and in mint condition. The second is a premium quality decoupage box with a glorious image of a young ballerina with hand painted enhancement throughout her dance costume and nice silver gilt scrollwork to the top edge of box. 1¼ x 4¼ x 3" and in mint condition.
