1803 C-1 R1 PCGS graded AU50. Glossy dark steel brown and chocolate with frosty lighter steel brown toning in protected areas. No roughness or verdigris, and the only notable marks are a dull nick on the left side of the 0 in the date and another under the E in CENT. Neither mark is visible without the aid of a glass. LDS, Manley state 3.0 late. All the die cracks described by Manley are clear and the aura around the portrait of Ms Liberty is obvious. Struck with the reverse rotated 15 degrees clockwise. Our grade is EF40. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 6 finer, 2 in 55, 2 in 58, 1 in 63, 1 in 64+ for the variety.
