Marilyn Monroe: Four (4) George Barris Single Weight Photos from THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH. Set Photos and Marquee for Film Premiere Signed. Marilyn Monroe starred in Billy Wilder's hilarious comedy THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH in 1955. The film was a huge hit earning 12 times its budget. But director Wilder was also a savvy promoter and invited limited press to the night time shoot outside the Trans-Lux 52nd Street Theater of the infamous subway grate scene months in advance. Photographer George Barris was at that shoot and captured the commotion, the theater and Marilyn's dress billowing up from the blast of air. Contrary to legend, much of the footage was used in the film as well as footage shot in a sound stage. 8 x 10" photos.

1.) Two (2) Color photos from the set of SEVEN YEAR ITCH in color with Barris copyright stamp on verso for both.
2.) Color photo, long overhead shot of subway shoot on location near the Trans-Lux theater with Barris copyright stamp on verso.
3.) Spectacular shot of the Loew's State with spectacular marquee and ballyhoo for the premiere of THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH photo signed on verso by George Barris. Estimated Value $600 - 900
From the Collection of Mark Rofeh.
