The English Book of Common Prayer, 1724. Originally owned by Judge Plunket Fleeson, Judge of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in 1777 and 1784. It was bought in 1828, after his death, by the Rev. Horatio Gates Jones. Jones' son presented the book in 1889 to Thomas Ridgway, a great great grandson of Fleeson's. The presentation letter is affixed to a front end page. A separate autograph note from Ridgway explains how he got the book. Rebound in one-third morocco leather. Pages are toned and foxed and half of one page in the "Catechism" section is missing.
