"The British Stud" Two Mid-19th Century Engravings Each Featuring Two Horses of Note in England. Spectacular Vintage Engravings. Two English hand colored engravings one dated 1846 the other 1854, The British Stud" Camel, Banter, Barbelle and Bay Middleton are the horses and painted by J.F. Herring Sr. and engraved by J. Harris & W. Summers. (Plates 4 and 7) Superb condition. Both measure 24 x 33" and framed to 29½ x 38½. Both are framed in gilt wood frames and specific to these engravings, the frames are worth keeping and in very presentable condition. But we would like to remove the glass prior to shipping for the safety of the engravings. Let us know your preferences as soon as possible after auction. We can also ship out of frames.
