STATE FAIR (1933) The first of three adaptations of the best selling novel and starred Will Rogers, Janet Gaynor, Lew Ayers, Louise Dresser, Sally Eilers and directed by Henry King. This is a phenomenal, very well archived studio collection of over 100 8 x 10" B&W stills, mostly double weight, silver nitrate photos of exceptional quality, clarity and we did not see any duplicates. Every major scene in the film is in this collection. STATE FAIR, about a farmer and his family who attend the Iowa State Fair proved a huge success and was nominated for Best Picture and Adapted Screenplay. Film is now part of the National Registry.
