Gorgeous, Qing Dynasty Silk Embroidery with Imperial Gold Five-Clawed Dragon. Wonderful silk 19th century (Qing Dynasty) embroidery boasting a five clawed dragon in the clouds over undulating seas. Excellent colors and superb craftsmanship with added appeal of the five-clawed dragon, the emperor's sacred symbol of imperial power and dignity. The actual embroidery measures 31 x 15" which has a fabric border (likely original) surrounding which combined measures 37 x 21" and all expertly framed in a premium, subtle Chinese style polished wood frame to 40 x 23".
